The changes continue to unfold for Diego Schwartzman. On Monday, the Argentine tennis player announced his engagement to longtime partner Eugenia De Martino.
Schwartzman shared a photo on Instagram of the couple standing in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, with De Martino proudly displaying her new engagement ring.
“I close my eyes so I don’t wake up and life continues to be a dream come true. Until we are old…” Schwartzman wrote in Spanish on Instagram.
De Martino also shared her excitement on Instagram, writing, “24/04/2024, a day I won’t forget anymore!!!!! THANK YOU for choosing me, and I thank life for bringing us together. I would search for you in this and every other life.”
Schwartzman, 31, was on the court in Paris just two weeks ago, where he advanced to the second round of qualifying at his final Roland Garros.
The four-time tour-level champion and former World No. 8 in the PIF ATP Rankings had announced last month that he plans to retire next year in Argentina.
